FAQs

Below are a list of our FAQs. Of you have any further questions please contact us!

Do I need to make an appointment?

Because The Point Veterinarian is a mobile service, it does help to book your appointment in advance. However same day appointments can be organised depending on where Dr Rigley is travelling.

Is it more expensive than a regular vet?

There is a small surcharge to cover travel expenses, however all medications and other procedures are the same price as your clinic vet.

What do I need?

The Point Veterinarian has all the necessary equipment in the vehicle. The only thing you might require is a towel to place on a table or chair to assist with keeping your pet still while being examined.

What happens if my pet needs a blood test, surgery or xrays?

If your pet requires a blood test, Dr Rigley is able to take this in the comfort of your home and send it away to the laboratory. If they require surgery or xrays, The Point Veterinarian will transport your animal to one of the many clinics around Brisbane and the Gold Coast and complete the procedure there before returning your animal to you. An estimate for any procedure needing to be done will be given at time of consultation.

Where do you visit?

The Point Veterinarian visits the majority of suburbs in the greater Brisbane area and the Northern end of the Gold Coast. The Point Veterinarian is flexible – which means they will travel to most regions.
